Riyadh, July 19, 2020, SPA — An Iraqi delegation, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Ali Abdulamir Allawi, who is also serving as minister of finance and minister of oil, arrived here today on an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
At King Khalid International Airport, Allawi and his accompanying delegation were received by Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi, who leads the Saudi side at the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council; Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid Al-Falih; Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Al-Khorayef; Minister of Transport Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser; Vice Minister of Finance Dr. Hamad Al-Bazai; Vice Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Al-Ibrahim; Governor of the Saudi Customs Authority Ahmed Al-Haqbani; Governor of the General Authority for Foreign Trade Abdulrahman bin Ahmed Al-Harbi, who serves as Secretary-General of the Saudi side at the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council and Saudi Ambassador to Iraq Abdulaziz Al-Shammari.
Headed by the Deputy Prime Minister, the Iraqi delegation to the joint committee, includes a number of Iraqi ministers.
The visit comes as part of activities of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council, which aims to enhance ties between the two countries at the strategic level and cooperation in various fields, develop partnership between the private sectors of the two countries, open new horizons of cooperation in the economic, development, security, investment, tourism, cultural and media fields, deepen joint cooperation between the two sides at international and regional platforms and protect common interests.
